Prinis Weaver was murdered in the Prichard apartment he and his fiancée were renting, just one day before they were set to be married. Prinis had kept their infant children home while his fiancée ran to the local Walmart. During this time, someone broke into their apartment and shot Prinis before taking off with money and their rings.

Prinis' family says there have been little to no developments over the last 23 years, and they are desperate for someone to come forward with information. Prinis' case remains unsolved.
