On September 9, 1989, 16 year old Olivia Jane Ward, also known as "Janie" went to a house party at a cabin in the Ozarks near Marshall, AR. At the party, according to other partygoers, Janie fell backwards off of a porch, reportedly causing her death. After, partygoers moved Janie into the bed of a pickup truck and drove her three miles away into Marshall, AR, where authorities pronounced her deceased. Conflicting autopsies which were conducted 15 years apart, along with inconsistent statements made by witnesses in the years since Janie's death have continued to bring uncertainty, suspicion, and speculation to the forefront of Janie's case. Today, her case remains unsolved.
