Overview of Mark Carlson
On October 20, 1974, Mark headed out to Huckleberry Flats, in between Horseshoe Bend and Placerville to go hunting. When he didn't arrive home that night, his family became worried. Two days later, Mark's body would be found, face down in the small creek, with a single shotgun wound to his stomach and an indentation on the back of his head. Two years later, his gun would be located a mile away from where his body was found. His hunting jacket has never been recovered.
