On the evening of September 4, 2002, the bodies of 24 year old Mandi Alexander and 79 year old Mary Drake were discovered in a Dolly Madison Bakery outlet in Great Bend, KS by a delivery driver. Authorities determined that Mandi, a clerk at the bakery, and Mary, a customer, had been killed with a "sharp object" and that money had been taken from the cash drawer in the bakery. 20 years later, in September of 2022, authorities announced that they had been reviewing evidence and testing male DNA that had been found on one of the victim's body. Their case remains unsolved.
