Overview of Lori Boffman

Lori Ann Boffman, a loving and kind mother of three, was known by everyone she met as a very nice and caring woman. Lori was very involved in her children's lives, even as they grew older and became more independent.

Lori's story begins on August 4, 2006, when she won $1,000 from the Ohio Lottery. As you may expect, Lori was over the moon with excitement, and couldn't wait to share that money with her family in the following days. Lori visited a local grocery store at approximately 4:00 am on the morning of August 5th with an unidentified male, and places an order for $500 worth of groceries. Lori had planned to pick up and take to a party being held by her family the following day to celebrate a visit from one of her children, who was in college at the time.

The following day, August 6, 2006, presumably started off with lots of excitement, as Lori got herself ready to attend the long-awaited party at a local park in Youngstown, Ohio. Lori's family would later tell police that they noticed that Lori had been acting strangely and behaving erratically, which they believed may have been due to a new medication she had started taking recently.

Lori left the party with an unnamed friend at approximately 6:30 pm. Some reports stated that Lori had plans to drop the friend off at her home along with some leftovers from the party, before going to her home to change clothes, and eventually pick the same friend up again and return to the party. However, the evening would not play out this way.

According to the unnamed friend who was in the car with Lori after leaving the party, Lori's driving became more erratic over time. In fear for her safety, the friend asked Lori to pull over so she could get out and walk the rest of the way home, to which Lori agreed. This was the last time Lori would officially be seen.

At approximately 3:00 am the following morning, local police receive a call about noises, and a crashing sound near a residential area of Youngstown, Ohio. Upon arriving at the scene, police find a blue 1992 Mercury Sable which had driven through several residential lawns before hitting a local library. Upon further investigation, investigators noted several important details about the vehicle. First, investigators noted that the driverless vehicle was still running, with the keys in the ignition. Inside the car, investigators found glasses, a key chain with 9 keys attached, and important personal documents, belonging to Lori.

Lori was officially reported missing to the Liberty Township Police Department by her niece on August 7, 2006, 2 days after she was last seen leaving the family party. According to family members, Lori's children visited the Youngstown Police Department on August 6th to report their mother missing, and were told that they should wait a little bit longer, and to file the report with the police department that handles the town she was living in at the time, the Liberty Township Police Department.

There have unfortunately been no updates in Lori's case since her disappearance in 2006, and her case has seemingly gone stagnant. Police have not identified any suspects or persons of interest in her case, though they do believe that foul play may be involved in her disappearance. If you have any information regarding the August 5, 2006 disappearance of Lori Ann Boffman, please contact the Liberty Township Police Department at (330) 759-1315, contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-CALL-FBI (800) 225-5324, or submit your tip through their online tip form.

Lori was approximately 5'8" tall, weighed 180lbs, and wears eyeglasses. Lori has a scar on her abdomen, one silver amalgam filling in a tooth, and a partial denture plate.
