On the evening of April 1, 2015, Jamie Lightsey was looking forward to visiting a friend when she stopped at a liquor store in Montgomery, AL. While at the liquor store, Jamie was involved in a minor fender-bender with another car. According to reports, the driver of the other vehicle, who was very upset about the accident, began requesting that Jamie gave him everything that she had. When she informed the suspect that she didn't have any cash on her, he quickly became violent and engaged Jamie in a high-speed chase. During the chase, the suspect pulled their car alongside Jamie's, and shot her as she drove, killing her instantly. Today, it has been more than 7 years since Jamie's death, and investigators continue searching desperately for her killer.
