Henry M. Adams, Sr., aka DJ Redneck, was a husband and father of 5 children. He was also a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend who was loved by so many. Friends and family described Henry as "a ball of fun" who "brought so much joy to so many people with his music and smile."

It was just past midnight on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Henry and several others were at a house party when someone opened fire. At approximately 12:30 am, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4300 block of Dale Street in New Orleans. Henry, along with 3 other individuals, had been shot. Henry passed away before the paramedics arrived on the scene. 3 others at the party were taken to the hospital and were listed in stable condition.
