Guy Howard, a member of Boy Scout Troop 101 in Linn County, Iowa, disappeared on February 3, 1973 while playing "Capture the Flag" with the troop. He was last seen at around 8:00 PM and was not reported missing until bed-check that night. Guy's parka was found snagged on a log along the Cedar River's east bank but no other evidence was found.

Authorities believe he likely fell into the river and drowned, although foul play has not been ruled out.

Guy was a fifth-grader at Eisenhower Elementary School and lived with his family in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His case remains unsolved.
