Gracie and her mother Grace disappeared from their residence in Jericho, Vermont, on June 7, 1978. Grace's husband, Michael Reapp, reported them missing to the Vermont State Police on June 11th. Ten days later, Reapp filed for divorce on the grounds of desertion and "intolerable severity." Despite multiple searches by the Vermont State Police and the FBI's Evidence Response Team, no evidence of the whereabouts of Grace or Gracie have been found. In 2006, an arrest warrant was issued for Michael Reapp in the deaths of Grace and Gracie. On June 7, 2012, 34 years after the disappearances, the Vermont State Police received information that Michael Reapp had died in Arizona in 1997. The whereabouts of Grace and Gracie's bodies have not been determined
