Gerald Michael Holmes disappeared on July 21, 1996 after leaving a pool hall in Richland County, South Carolina. He was last seen leaving Wayde's Pool Hall alone around midnight, and he has never been heard from again. The next day, his rental car was found abandoned and burned just a couple of miles from his aunt's house. When his girlfriend reported him missing, police found his apartment appeared to have been broken into, but nothing was missing.

Holmes, who is described as a devoted father and had a good relationship with his son's mother, remains missing and his case remains unsolved.
