Overview of Gerald Andry

Gerald "Knuck, Nut" Andry, Sr. was a husband and father to 6 children. He was someone's son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many. Family and friends described him as a sweet and giving person who always had a smile on his face.

It was a little chilly out, with an overcast that Wednesday morning as the temperature only reached 61 degrees. Up and down the 7800 block of South Coronet Court in New Orleans are older model townhomes and apartments, with the majority painted differently from one to the next. They also have parking areas where most are directly in front of their doors. That's what the authorities saw in the early morning hours on 01/18/2012.

At about 2:00 am, the New Orleans police responded to a shooting in the 7800 block of South Coronet Court. Upon arrival, they found Gerald still inside a vehicle parked in a driveway. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities do not have a motive or a suspect at this time, but they hope someone will come forward. This case is still open.
