Gary Adams passed away way too soon, at the young age of 23. Although little is known about his life, that doesn't make his story any less important.

When officers arrived in the Little Woods area in New Orleans East, it was already hot and muggy, with temperatures in the upper 80s. They had been called to a home in the 8700 block of Dinkins Street, located at the corner of Benson and Dinkins Streets. It was about 6:15 in the morning when they found Gary lying face down in the driveway of a residence on the corner. Also, at that very same corner is a school bus stop. Children and their parents were standing around waiting on the bus as they watched the investigators process the crime scene. A neighbor stated they heard gunshots around 5 am that morning. Another said that a neighbor's car had been shot up. Near the vehicle, a hat and phone were found.

Investigators are still looking for possible suspects and motives, and no arrests have been made. This case is still open.
