1:23am: A friend receives a strange voicemail from Faith
A friend of Faith's turned over a voicemail that was an apparent pocket-dial. The disturbing message potentially features Faith and her killer(s). The time would contradict when Faith was said to have returned with Karena to her apartment.
2:38am: Faith and Karena leave the club and return to their apartment.
Karena explained to police that she felt sick and wanted to go back home.
3:40am: A text message is sent from Faith's phone to Karena's ex-boyfriend, Brandon Edwards
The text reads: "Hey b. can you come over here please. Karena needs you more aha. You know. Please let her know you care."

The text reads: "than", suggesting that she meant to say that "Karena needs you more than you know" in her first text.
3:44am: Karena makes 4 calls to Brandon
These calls are at 3:44am (33 seconds), 3:52am (38 seconds), 3:55am (30 seconds), and 4:14am.
4:27am: Karena is picked up by a friend
Some sources say that Karena's friend, Jordan McCrary, picked Karena up from her and Faith's apartment, before driving her to another friend's home. Karena tells police that she believed that Faith was asleep in her room. Karena left the apartment's door unlocked when she left.
11:01am: Karena and her friend Marisol Rangle return to the apartment and find Faith dead

Investigators arrive shortly after Karena calls 911 and find Faith deceased in a bedroom. Faith was in a bedroom, hanging off of the bed face up over a pool of blood with her shirt pulled up over her face.

Police receive a search warrant for Faith’s white 1997 Honda Accord at around 3:30pm before they are able to search her car for evidence.

Early Evening: Eriq Jones give police permission to search his cell phone
Officers retrieve a text message sent to a friend on September 6. This text asks his friend to forgive him for what he was about to do. Officers also retrieve a tweet by Eriq to another acquantance, asking the same.

Investigators find that he had changed the cover photo on his page to this statement: "Dear Lord, Forgive me for all of my sins and the sins I may commit today. Protect me from the girls who don't deserve me and the ones who wish me dead today."

Jones lived in the same apartment complex as Faith and Karena at the time of Faith's death.
4:45pm: Police receive search warrant for Faith's Facebook account.
After receiving the proper warrants, investigators search Faith’s Facebook account, in order to build out a timeline.
Early Evening: Police seize items of evidence, including Eriq's 2012 Jeep.
Police also received a warrant to seize and search Eriq’s Jeep and other belongings in order to complete forensic testing.

While speaking on the phone with investigators, Reginald, who was living in Greensboro, North Carolina at the time, agrees to allow investigators to visit him for an interview.

4:00pm: Investigators leave Chapel Hill PD at 4:00pm, and arrive at Mr. Jackson's Apartment in Greensboro.
Upon the arrival of a Greensboro police officer, they attempted to make contact with Mr. Jackson, with no answer. The investigator noticed a Acura in the parking lot, presumably belonging to Mr. Jackson, however the tag did not come back to Mr. Jackson. Upon noticing Mr. Jackson pull into the apartment complex, the Greensboro police officer runs his plates and was able to pull him over because of expired tags. Mr. Jackson informed the investigator that he did know of Faith, but he did not want to talk to the police.
Evening: Police release information about the DNA evidence of suspected killer, a timeline, and suspect profile.
In January of 2013, investigators release information regarding the DNA evidence collected at the scene, believed to belong to the suspected murderer, as well as a timeline and a genetic profile of the suspect.

Miguel Enrique Salguero-Olivares is charged with Faith's murder
Salguero-Olivares, 28, of Durham was charged with first-degree murder on Thursday, nine years and nine days after Hedgepeth, 19, was found dead in a friend’s apartment in September 2012.
