De'Shawn Mayo was shot and killed on April 20, 2012 after leaving Midlothian Village in Richmond, Virginia. De'Shawn did not live in the area, but he did grow up there; no one knows why he was in the area, but his family insists that he would not get in the car with someone he didn't know. Just before 8 p.m. he was seen getting into a dark 4-door car; a text message confirms De'Shawn was still alive at 8:03 pm, but then the trail goes cold. 45 minutes later, De'Shawn was shot and left in the driveway of a home in the 600 block of Woodhaven Drive. He was found alive, but he died at the hospital later that night. According to NBC12.com, Police did receive some tips early on and they would like to speak to those tipsters again.
