Overview of David Voss

On August 11, 2000, Dr. David D. Voss left Arkansas for a week long vacation, traveling to St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He checked into his hotel late in the evening on Friday, August 11, 2000. He sent emails back to Arkansas on Saturday, 8-12-2000, saying he had arrived safely and was going scuba-diving after sending the emails. He rented diving equipment from a local shop and returned the equipment later that day. On Sunday, August 13th, he again rented diving equipment for the rest of the week with the agreement to return the equipment prior to his return flight back to the states on August 18, 2000. He has never been seen or heard from since Sunday, August 13, 2000. The diving equipment was never returned. All of his personal belongings, including credit cards, wallet, cash, and airline ticket was found in his hotel room. The rental Jeep was still parked in the hotel parking lot. He was not reported as missing until Saturday, August 19 when he failed to return to Clarksville, AR. The last known contact of any kind was on Sunday, August 13th. Upon the Missing Person's Report being filed, local authorities, along with Coast Guard personnel conducted a search of local waters and beach area surrounding the hotel. Nothing was ever found.
