On 04/13/2017, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a shots fired call and found David lying dead on the sidewalk. A neighbor mentioned they heard a single gunshot on that hot and muggy Thursday evening. David had been shot in the head once and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not released details on suspects or a potential motive in this deadly shooting.
