Coley Patterson Sr. vanished on October 16, 2006, after leaving his sister's home in Kershaw, South Carolina. He was last seen near his own home on Fork Hill Road, walking near the intersection of Pleasant Plains Road at 4:00 p.m.

Despite an extensive search of the area, no trace of him has been found, with the exception of his hat and one shoe. His family is holding out hope that he is still alive, but his case remains unresolved.
