Angelica Livingston and her grandmother, Portia Washington, disappeared from their home at Park Place Apartments in West Columbia, South Carolina on June 10, 2006.

Washington's live-in boyfriend, Kenneth Andrew Lynch, also disappeared, as well as Washington's car, a tan 2005 Ford Focus. Lynch was later spotted driving the car in El Paso, Texas and was arrested in Seattle for stealing the car. He refused to cooperate with the investigation and was charged with both their murders in June 2008.

Physical evidence links Lynch to the disappearances and Washington and Angelica's relatives described Lynch as abusive and Washington's life as a "hellhole" before her disappearance. He was sentenced to life in prison in May 2012. Foul play is suspected and their bodies have never been found.
