Overview of Allen Briscoe
In December 1985, Allen Briscoe Jr., a high school student from Philadelphia, disappeared without a trace, and his case remains unsolved to this day. According to his mother, who worked two jobs, she would call home every day to ensure that her son and daughter were awake and getting ready for school. However, on the day of his disappearance, there was no answer when she called.
Allen's sister came home that night to find the house locked, and she had to seek refuge at her grandmother's house since only Allen had the keys. When their mother returned home from work, she discovered that Allen was missing, and he has not been seen or heard from since.
There are conflicting reports about whether Allen attended school that day. His mother doesn't believe he went to school at all, but police records indicate that he was there at some point during the day. It's said that he spent the day riding the subway around Philadelphia with a friend, then came back to their own neighborhood by bus.
The friend last saw Allen getting off the bus at Woodland Avenue, saying he was going to see a female friend. This is the last confirmed sighting of Allen.
Authorities have ruled out the possibility that Allen ran away from home since he left all his belongings behind, including the $50 his mother had given him as a birthday present. There were no indications that he had any plans to leave home either.
Recent attempts by authorities to re-interview Allen's friends have been unsuccessful due to the passage of time. However, his mother stated that he was into rap music and basketball, and he was also described as a picky eater.
Interestingly, Allen's disappearance may be linked to another student's disappearance from Bartram High School in 1985, Christine Green. Both cases remain unsolved, and it's unclear whether they are connected.
