The decedent was found in a train boxcar in a railroad yard in north Fort Collins. He had sustained massive blunt trauma injuries to the head, consistent with being caught in the slamming door of the boxcar of an abruptly stopping train. The train arrived in Denver from New Mexico on September 15, 1994, before arriving in Fort Collins at 2:00 AM on September 16th. He is believed to be an illegal immigrant coming from Mexico, and had possibly been living a transient lifestyle.

Clothing: Blue nylon windbreaker with "ARA Services Mile High Stadium" (American Restaurant Association) logo (size Large) - these jackets were only issued by the Mile High Stadium in Denver, black or gray/white plaid shirt, red long-sleeved sweatshirt, khaki trousers with "Chana y Gris" written in block letters on the thigh of the pants leg, white briefs, and black/white canvas and vinyl athletic shoes. Jewelry: Unknown Additional Personal Items: A religious pamphlet from Jeremiah Baptist Church, Denver, was found in a pocket
