Overview of Charles Jackson Jr.

33-year-old Charles ""Bubba"" Jackson was last seen at the intersection of Moffett and Schillinger Roads in Mobile, AL, walking towards Hwy 158 during the afternoon of May 23, 2014. He planned to visit his girlfriend in Citronelle, a location approximately 28 miles from where he was last seen and a walk that would have taken him at least 9 hours to make.

A gas station surveillance camera captured Bubba at the intersection of Moffett and Schillinger Roads around 1:00 p.m. Approximately three hours later, Bubba sent a mass text to his family stating he was walking and felt like he was going to pass out. At approximately 5:28 p.m., Bubba sent a one-word text in a group message to his family, ""HELP."" Bubba has not been seen since.

Although Bubba continues to be listed as a missing person, a 2015 update on the Help Find Bubba Facebook page stated the family, along with investigators, felt that he had mostly been murdered. Multiple searches have been conducted around the area Bubba was last seen, but he still has not been located.

Authorities did identify Billie Joe Turner as a person of interest, but no arrest or charges have been made.
