Sheila Franks Disappearance

Danielle had last been seen getting into a car on the road leading to her house in the rural area known as Swains Flats, along Highway 36.

Danielle talked to her mother on nearly a daily basis. When she had not heard from Danielle, she filed a missing person report.

Frustrated with the investigation, the families of Sheila and Danielle team up to find the women

This is the first public acknowledgment that Danielle's and Sheila's case may be connected. “Both cases are on-going investigations. We’re working with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department closely and following all our leads, but yes, we have identified a person of interest in both cases and it’s the same man. We aren’t releasing his name at this time,” Chief Dobberstein said.

So-Cal Advocates For The Missing and their partners urge community members to share these images and this story in hopes that clues to the whereabouts of the women might emerge.

A human skull was found on the river bar near Ferndale. No other human remains were located during the search. The skull appeared to have been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time.
