Overview of Adam Castillo

Adam Castillo went to a party with around 25 people. Everyone returned home safely, except Adam. It’s been 14 years since he was last seen. What happened to Adam?

Adam Castillo was only 21 years old when he vanished near Willcox, Arizona in 2008.

Adam is one of five children in a large family from southeartern Arizona. two older brothers, and two sisters—which he was very close with. An avid skateboarder, Adam was working at a local gas station at the time of his disappearance.

On September 13, 2008, Adam and his sisters, Eden and Adriana, had plans to attend a party outside Wilcox, Arizona in an area known to locals as ‘the loop’. Adam rode with a friend named Levi, and three others; including a young man named, Gary to the party. Since the car was full, his sisters stayed behind waiting for another ride—who wouldn’t be able to pick them up for the party. Ultimately, his sisters never went to the party.

A few hours later, Adriana noticed that Adam left his phone and wallet at home. Adriana called Levi to let him know but Levi informed her that he had to go home after he dropped Adam and others off at the party. Adam’s last known sighting was by a friend between 1-2 am who also left the party. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt or tank top, long camouflage-print shorts, and green and white skate shoes. According to statements made by those who attended the party to investigators, Adam was last seen leaving the party with an unidentified girl in a Honda.

There were approximately 25 people who attended that party that night, and all of them returned home safely, except Adam. Adam essentially vanished that night.

A day later on September 15, 2008, his parents reported him missing to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office. Rumors quickly speculated that Adam may have been killed in a drug dispute; however, nothing was confirmed.

During the party, Gary was pushed - or maybe even fell - into the bonfire. One theory suggested that because Gary owed someone money and Adam pulled him out of the bonfire. It was believed that Adam may have been killed for saving Gary.

On February 21, 2009, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office searched the Wilcox and Bowie cities within Cochise County.. Authorities were about to seize nearly 200 pounds of marijuana and arrested multiple people, but no new information relating to Adam’s disappearance was discovered.
